I want to use this medium to wish you a happy Easter. I pray that the blessings of Easter will be your portion in Jesus name. The next series of meditations will be on Adam, the first man God created and Jesus Christ the second Adam.

There is no record that the first Adam prayed, but the second Adam, Jesus Christ, prayed several times. No wonder the first Adam failed woefully while the second Adam, Jesus Christ, succeeded in all He did. Matthew 26:36 tells us that '... Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, “Sit here, while I go over there and pray.”' It is said that Jesus spent about three hours praying just before going to the cross. No wonder He had an all round victory despite the great and numerous challenges He faced. Beloved, how is your prayer life? For you to succeed, you must be a man/woman of prayers.

You are not here on earth just to fill up a vacuum. God created you to be an achiever. God has a task for you to perform. Do you know what He has created you to do on earth? Find out the task He has for you and ensure that you accomplish it before leaving this earth. 1 Corinthians 15:45 says ".. it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit." Jesus came to give us life. That life-giving mission was accomplished on the cross of Calvary. We shall be looking at what mankind lost in the garden of Eden and how it was gained through the redemptive work of Jesus on the cross of Calvary.

It must be mentioned here that according to Hebrews 9:22 "... under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins." Jesus shed His blood to give us a COMPLETE REDEMPTION. We shall now look at ways Jesus achieved this complete redemption for us by the shedding of His blood.

$1·         BLOOD SHED FROM THE HEAD: A crown of thorns was put on Jesus head. Blood was shed from His head. This was done to get victory over every curse. All generational, ancestral (i.e. inherited) and all other curses are broken when Jesus shed His blood from His head. At Eden God cursed man and said "cursed is the ground because of you". All the curses God placed on man is revoked through Jesus Christ. Galatians 3:13 tells us also that “'Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”'.

Beloved, Jesus has paid the price for all your curses. Just claim this redemptive work and it will be yours in Jesus name.

To be continued...
